Healthcare Through an Economics Perspective
General Information

Dates: Fridays, January 13 - February 17
Location: Ashland
Time: 1:00 - 2:40 pm

We use simple economic concepts to look at and understand important, real world issues - in this case healthcare. We will look at how healthcare is financed and delivered – with particular attention to the United States, but also looking at some other countries. We will explore the goals and features of the recently passed healthcare reform bill – including the good, the bad, and the ugly. We’ll work to understand what drives demand for healthcare services and how the supply of those services is so unique.
